What to look for in clinic management software for doctors in India

A practical checklist for Indian doctors comparing clinic software: appointments, patient records, consultations and billing.

Clinics and hospitals both need a clear way to see who is coming today, what happened last time, and whether the bill was raised.

Start with the front desk. If the receptionist cannot book against a doctor's real hours, the software will create double bookings no matter how polished the screens look.

Next, check the patient record. A useful profile keeps contact details, earlier visits, complaints and follow-ups together, so the doctor is not asking the same questions every time.

Consultation and prescription should sit on that same visit. Separate notebooks for notes and a different tool for the bill is how work gets lost between the room and reception.

Finally, ask who can see what. A clinic admin, a doctor and a receptionist should not share one login. Role-based access is basic hygiene for a practice.

Clinivaan is built around that sequence: schedule, patient, appointment, consultation, prescription and invoice. Compare any product against the way your clinic already works, not against a feature grid alone.
